Title:
TILTING VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/119422
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This tilting vehicle, which turns by tilting a body, is constituted of a plurality of wheels including one or two front steered wheels, a handle operated by an occupant to change the steering angle of the front steered wheels and the tilt angle of the body during turning operation, a tilting device that changes the tilt angle of the body during turning, and a steering device that changes the steering angle of the front steered wheels during turning. In order to improve the controllability of the tilting vehicle during turning, in the tilting vehicle, the tilting device and the steering device are controlled from a turning state in which the gravity acting on the vehicle body and the centrifugal force toward the turning outer side are balanced at a steering angle and tilt angle corresponding to the handle angle during a turning operation performed by the occupant, the lateral acceleration acting on the body is increased to a lateral acceleration set on the basis of the speed of the tilting vehicle, and when regions obtained by dividing the speed range up to the maximum speed of the tilting vehicle into 5 equal parts have been defined, the tilting device and the steering device are controlled so that the rate of change in lateral acceleration with respect to the change in vehicle speed in the maximum speed range is less than the rate of change in lateral acceleration with respect to the change in vehicle speed in the minimum speed range.
