Abstract:
The present invention provides a thin plate processing tool that enables easy bending of a metallic belt-like thin plate into a letter-C shape or a ring shape. The tool has provided therein a pair of working pieces 4a, 4b that can be turned relative to each other about a support shaft 6 and can be opened and closed. The respective working pieces 4a, 4b form working recess parts 10 that, when the working pieces are in a closed state, come to face each other so as to define a closed space 22. The closed space 22 comprises a circular main part 24 and a retreat part 26 where the outer circumferential edge of the main part 24 is locally biased radially outward. The retreat part 26 is located between the center of the main part 24 and the support shaft 6. At end edges opposite the side where the retreat part 26 is defined in the respective working recess parts 10 of the pair of working pieces 4a, 4b, regulation surfaces 16, which extend in directions in which the pair of working pieces 4a, 4b approach each other in an open state, are connected.
