Title:
THERMOELECTROCHEMICAL BATTERY SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/277226
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a thermoelectrochemical battery system, and specifically, to a thermoelectrochemical battery system wherein a non-precious metal-based metal carbide electrode is used as an electrode material in an electrolyte having a neutral pH to prevent the Seebeck coefficient from decreasing and causing a decrease in conversion efficiency, and prevent the electrode from becoming oxidized. non-precious metal-based metal carbide as a material for an electrode, such that corrosion and dissolution of the electrode are less likely to occur compared to the conventional case of using a precious metal or a non-precious metal-based metal as the material for an electrode, and thus has the advantage that economic feasibility can be achieved. In addition, the present invention has another advantage in that a loss of conversion efficiency is prevented by compensating for the problem of the Seebeck coefficient being lower when employing an electrolyte having a neutral pH than when employing an alkaline electrolyte.
