Abstract:
A system and a method for reliquefying boil-off gas of a vessel are disclosed. The system for reliquefying boil-off gas of a vessel of the present invention comprises: a compressor provided on the vessel and compressing boil-off gas generated from a storage tank in which liquefied gas is stored; a reliquefaction line, connected from the compressor to the storage tank, for reliquefying the compressed gas and transferring same to the storage tank; a heat exchanger provided on the reliquefaction line and receiving and cooling the compressed gas; a first refrigerant compression unit for compressing a refrigerant which is discharged after cooling the compressed gas in the heat exchanger; a second refrigerant compression unit for additionally compressing the refrigerant compressed in the first refrigerant compression unit; and a refrigerant expansion unit which expands and cools the refrigerant compressed through the first and second refrigerant compression units and supplies same to the heat exchanger, wherein the refrigerant compressed through the first and second refrigerant compression units is pre-cooled in the heat exchanger, and expansion-cooled in the refrigerant expansion unit and supplied to the heat exchanger as a cooling heat source, and the first refrigerant compression unit or the second refrigerant compression unit is driven by the expansion energy of the refrigerant transferred from the refrigerant expansion unit.
