Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a synthetic fiber treatment agent with which the accumulation of tar can be reduced when applied to and used for a synthetic fiber after long-term storage. A synthetic fiber treatment agent according to the present invention is characterized by containing an organic sulfur compound (X) including an organic polysulfide compound (X1) and an ionic surfactant (Y) including an organic sulfonic acid compound (Y1). The organic polysulfide compound (X1) is at least one selected from among triacylglycerol sulfide (X1-1), sulfurized fatty acid monoester (X1-2), sulfurized fatty acid (X1-3), and olefin sulfide (X1-4). The organic sulfonic acid compound (Y1) does not have a carbonyl group in a molecule.
