Abstract:
Provided is a technology that, in an information processing device in which an OS-standard general-purpose printing program is installed, makes it possible to expect proper printing of an image even when the OS-standard general-purpose printing program is used. When a general-purpose printing program 41 is given a print instruction for causing a printer 2 to print an image, a PC 1 uses an auxiliary program 42 to acquire, from the general-purpose printing program 41, intermediate image data that indicates the image to be printed. The PC 1 then determines whether or not a color-to-monochrome conversion is necessary. If it is determined that the conversion is necessary, the PC 1 carries out a process for causing the printer 2 to print a converted image, which is obtained by subjecting the image indicated by the acquired intermediate image data to the color-to-monochrome conversion.
