Abstract:
A styrene-acrylic-siloxane composite core-shell emulsion, a preparation method therefor, and a use thereof, relating to the technical field of protective coatings. A core phase emulsion is prepared by two-step emulsification using styrene and acrylate monomers, a first emulsifier, a first initiator, a second initiator, an alkaline reagent and water; a shell phase emulsion is prepared using siloxane monomer, hydroxyl-containing acrylate monomer, an emulsifier and water as raw materials; next, the core phase emulsion, the shell phase emulsion and initiators are grafted, obtaining a styrene-acrylic-siloxane composite core-shell emulsion. By introducing the hydroxyl-containing acrylate monomer, the described preparation method can effectively improve the grafting effect of the styrene-acrylate core structure and the siloxane shell structure, improve the synergistic working performance between the styrene-acrylate core structure and the siloxane shell structure, endows the composite core-shell emulsion with superior hydrophobic and waterproof properties, stability, adhesive performance, ion penetration resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, and aging resistance.
