Abstract:
Disclosed are: a biometric information detection device in the form of a smartwatch which detects biometric information on the basis of permittivity sensing; and a method for detecting biometric information by using a device in the form of a smartwatch. The biometric information detection device in the form of a smartwatch according to one embodiment may comprise: at least one processor; a permittivity sensor that is controlled by the at least one processor to emit electromagnetic waves into a body to be analyzed on which the smartwatch is disposed, and measure signals reflected from an analyte present inside the body to be analyzed; a display that is controlled by the at least one processor to display the concentration of the analyte based on the signals measured by the permittivity sensor; and a communication part that is controlled by the at least one processor to transmit the concentration of the analyte to an external terminal.
