Abstract:
A single-power supply multi-electrode electric arc ignition apparatus and method. The ignition apparatus comprises a direct-current voltage source, an air switch, an LC oscillation circuit, a high voltage packet, and a multi-electrode ignition group; the multi-electrode ignition group comprises 2n electric arc ignition branches connected in parallel between a positive electrode access port and a negative electrode access port; and each electric arc ignition branch comprises a reactive device and a horn electrode, wherein the positive electrode of the horn electrode is connected to the positive electrode access port of the multi-electrode ignition group, and the negative electrode of the horn electrode is first connected in series to the reactive device and then is connected to the negative electrode access port of the multi-electrode ignition group. According to the ignition apparatus and method provided by the present invention, only a single power supply is used to generate continuous and stable electric arc that does not periodically extinguish while realizing a plurality of electrodes, so as to satisfy experimental requirements, the power of each electrode is identical, and the power of the ignition apparatus is improved by expanding the electrodes, thereby effectively solving the problem of being lack of a multi-electrode ignition apparatus required by an electric arc ignition method in a cable combustion test.
