Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide silica particles or organosiloxane particles having an average particle diameter of more than 70 μm and having high monodispersity. The present invention provides silica particles or organosiloxane particles having an average particle diameter of 75 μm or more and having a particle diameter CV value of 10% or less. The present invention further provides a production method for silica particles or organosiloxane particles. Used in the production method is a microchannel structured body having a flow path structure in which first, second, third, and fourth microchannels are connected at a connection section. The production method includes: a step of flowing a hydrophobic first liquid comprising a siloxane compound into the first microchannel and flowing a hydrophilic second liquid into the second and third microchannels, so as to then collect from the fourth microchannel an oil-in-water emulsion that has formed at the connection section; and step of solidifying droplets of the collected oil-in-water emulsion so as to obtain solid particles.
