Abstract:
A shock absorber (D) according to the present embodiment comprises: a shock absorber body (1) having a cylindrical outer shell (2) and a rod (3) inserted into the outer shell (2) so as to be free to move; and a knuckle bracket (4) mounted to the lower circumferential end of the outer shell (2), wherein: the knuckle bracket (4) comprises a pair of clamping pieces (5, 6) curving along the periphery of the outer shell (2) and clamping the outer shell (2), a pair of mounting pieces (7, 8) extending in the radial direction of the outer shell (2) from the circumferential ends of each of the clamping pieces (5, 6) and facing each other, and a coupling piece (9) coupling the upper end of the mounting pieces (7, 8) to each other; the width between the circumferential tips of the inner surface of each of the clamping pieces (5, 6) is greater than the outer diameter of the outer shell (2); and the base ends rather than the circumferential tips of the inner surface of each of the clamping pieces (5, 6) are in contact with the outer circumference of the outer shell (2).
