Abstract:
In this shift device, when a lever is pivoted to an H position by the urging force of a moderation mechanism, a cam is rotated to cause a Geneva drive to rotate, whereby a rotary damper exerts a resistance force on the rotation of the Geneva drive, the rotation of the cam, and the pivoting of the lever. As a result, it is possible to reduce the speed at which the lever is pivoted to the H position, and to suppress the occurrence of abnormal noises when the lever is stopped at the H position.
