Abstract:
Provided is a sheet processing device for performing a folding process on a sheet at two different locations, said sheet processing device having: a folding roller pair for rotating while sandwiching, at nip parts, a sheet transported to a transport path, thereby taking in the sheet and performing a folding process thereon; a pressing guide member that is capable of turning between a standby position and a guide position for guiding the sheet, which has been subjected to the folding process by the folding roller pair, such that the sheet faces one side of the transport path and such that the orientation of the sheet is changed; and an auxiliary guide member having a guide part for guiding an end section of the sheet, for which the advancement direction has changed due to the pressing guide member, to the guide surface of the transport path. A portion of the guide part is located on the outer side of the turning trajectory of the site on the pressing guide member that is furthest away from the turning center when the direction-changing member is located at the guide position.
