Title:
SEWING MACHINE CAPABLE OF SEWING CORD, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SEWING OUT OF CORD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/054557
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In the present invention, when cord sewing is begun, a sewing needle and a cord guide are first lowered so that a portion of the cord passing through a hole in the cord guide is punctured by the descending sewing needle and lowered onto the sewing base material. Next, the sewing needle is operated multiple times while the lowered cord guide is held at the lowest position so that said portion of the cord is sewn in place on the sewing base material via multiple stitches. When stitching of the cord is finished, the cord guide is raised, and the cord extending downward from the cord guide is cut by a cord-cutting device. A distal portion of the cut cord hangs downward from the cord guide, and is automatically sewn in place as described above when sewing is resumed. Before the cord is cut, a needle thread hook is operated, and the thread is cut. As a result, it is possible to automatically perform suitable control of the sewing out of the cord, and to promote automation of operations related to cord stitching.
