Abstract:
The invention relates to a setting for jewellery (1), such as in particular gemstones that are in their raw form or are polished, the setting comprising: two holding elements (2) each having a holder (3) for a portion (5) of the jewellery (1); and a holding bracket (4) in which the holding elements (2) can be fixed or are fixed. The holding elements (2) are positioned opposite one another within the holding bracket (4), the portions (5) of the jewellery (1) which lie within the holders (3) being imaginary cross-sectional layers in the jewellery (1) which are positioned parallel to one another, and the holding bracket (4) forming a self-contained structure in order to secure the holding elements (2) in their position.
