Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a separator handling apparatus for a single-sided electrode stack of a secondary battery electrode assembly, which enables stacking by supplying a single-sided electrode to a stack table and an uppermost end of a cathode-anode-separator stack immediately before and after stacking of a cathode, an anode, and a separator on the stack table, and thus may shorten the manufacturing time of an electrode assembly having the single-sided electrode stacked on the lowermost and uppermost ends thereof and improve operation efficiency; and to a method of manufacturing a secondary battery electrode assembly by using the separator handling apparatus. According to the present invention, the separator handling apparatus for a single-sided electrode stack of a secondary battery electrode assembly may comprise: a head unit provided on top of a stack table on which a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator are stacked, and installed so as to be able to perform reciprocating motion between a first location at which the first electrode is stacked on the stack table and a second location at which the second electrode is stacked on the stack table; a separator holding unit which is installed in the head unit, grips an end of the separator after the uppermost single-sided electrode is stacked at the first location, and transfers the separator to the lowermost single-sided electrode at the second location; and a separator cutting unit which cuts the separator while the separator is gripped by the separator holding unit at the first location.
