Abstract:
The present invention relates to a self-powered generator using a candle and, more particularly, to a self-powered generator using a candle, the self-powered generator being capable of effectively transmitting the thermal energy of a candle to a power generation unit by providing a pair of fire extinguishing caps having the shape of a tube expanded toward the candle, and capable of easily extinguishing, through the opening and closing of a through-hole formed in the fire extinguishing cap, the flame of the candle arranged in the fire extinguishing cap. To this end, provided is a self-powered generator using a candle, comprising: a candle arranged on a base; a power generation unit provided on the candle and converting thermal energy, generated while the candle is ignited, into electric energy; and a fire extinguishing cap provided between the power generation unit and the candle, laying over the candle, and having the shape of a tube expanded toward the candle, wherein the fire extinguishing cap is provided in a state in which a pair of fire extinguishing covers having through-holes corresponding to each other overlap each other, and is rotatably provided such that the through-holes are matched to each other or shielded from each other.
