Abstract:
Provided is a sealing tape (10) that is used in order to cover and vertically seal a longitudinal seam of a paper container for a liquid, which is formed through a step for overlapping the longitudinal ends of a band-shaped packaging material to form a packaging tube, wherein the sealing tape (10) comprises: a PVDC-coated vapor-deposited PET layer (18) that includes a polyethylene terephthalate resin layer (12) and also includes a vapor-deposited layer (14) and a polyvinylidene chloride resin layer (16) in the stated order on at least one side of the polyethylene terephthalate resin layer (12); and a first heat-fusible synthetic resin layer (20a, 20b) on the two sides of the PVDC-coated vapor-deposited PET layer (18). This makes it possible to provide a sealing tape (10) that has high gas barrier properties, and a paper container for a liquid that uses the sealing tape (10).
