Abstract:
Provided is a screw shaft which sufficiently ensures the accuracy of the shape of a male-side screw section. A screw shaft (17) is equipped with a large-diameter shaft section (20), medium-diameter shaft sections (21), (22), and small-diameter shaft sections (23), (24). The large-diameter shaft section (20) has a male-side screw section (26) which spans the entire length of the outer-circumferential surface in the axial direction thereof. The medium-diameter shaft sections (21), (22) are positioned next to the large-diameter shaft section (20) in the axial direction, and have a smaller outer diameter than does the large-diameter shaft section (20). The small-diameter shaft sections (23), (24) are positioned next to the medium-diameter shaft sections (21), (22) on the sides thereof opposite the large-diameter shaft section (20) in the axial direction, have a smaller outer diameter than do the medium-diameter shaft sections (21), (22), and do not have spiral-shaped thread-rolling marks in the outer-circumferential surface thereof.
