Abstract:
[Problem] To provide sandals that are flexible, are suitable for walking, and are comfortable to wear. [Solution] Each of a pair of sandals 100 includes a sole member 101, an anti-slip member 103, an upper member 105, a strap 107, and a new member 109. The sole member 101 is formed from a resin containing EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer) resin as the main component. The sandals 100 have elastic spaces 101a in the side surfaces thereof. The elastic spaces 101a are formed to pass through the sole member 101 in the width direction of the foot. The sole member 101 includes the elastic spaces 101a at least in a thenar eminence resting area R3 where the thenar eminence would rest when a generally assumed user places his or her feet into the sandals 100. A plurality of elastic spaces 101a are formed in the sole member 101. The elastic spaces 101a are also formed spanning the sole member 101 from toe to heel.
