Abstract:
Provided is a rubber composition for tires with which both wet performance and wear resistance are attained. The rubber composition for tires has at least 30 mass parts of silica blended into 100 mass parts of a diene rubber that contains 30-90 mass% of an alkoxysilyl group-bearing modified styrene-butadiene rubber, the rubber composition for tires being characterized in that, when the modified styrene-butadiene rubber is measured using gel permeation chromatography, the molecular weight distribution curve is unimodal and the molecular weight distribution (PDI) is less than 1.7, and in that the glass transition temperature of the rubber composition for tires is higher than -50°C.
