Abstract:
The present invention provides: a rubber composition capable of improving overall wet and dry performances; and a tire. The present invention relates to a rubber composition which comprises a butadiene rubber and/or a styrene/butadiene rubber, reversibly changes in complex elastic modulus E* by the action of water, and satisfies the following expressions (1) to (3). Expression (1): (complex elastic modulus E* during wetting with water)/(complex elastic modulus E* before wetting with water)×100≤98 (wherein E* is the E* of the rubber composition at 23°C) Expression (2): 99≤(complex elastic modulus E* after drying up)/(complex elastic modulus E* before wetting with water)×100≤100 (wherein E* is the E* of the rubber composition at 23°C) Expression (3): 99≤(volume during wetting with water)/(volume before wetting with water)×100≤100 (wherein the volumes are each the volume of the rubber composition at 23°C)
