Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a rotor 10 with which it is possible to achieve greater magnetic torque while avoiding any increase in the cost of the rotor 10 caused by use of a high-performance winding machine and any increase in cost caused by molding the entire rotor 10 from an insulator. [Solution] The present invention is provided with a plurality of winding units 12 having a core, a field winding wound on the core, and an insulating seal body that seals the core and the field winding. A rotor core 11 is provided with a plurality of unit accommodation parts 11a for individually accommodating each of the plurality of winding units 12, and a plurality of voids 23. The unit accommodation parts 11a are disposed so as to extend in the rotary axis A direction, be arranged side-by-side in the circumferential direction, and be oriented such that the longitudinal direction of a lateral cross-section is aligned with the radial direction. The winding units 12 are accommodated in the unit accommodation parts 11a in an orientation such that the longitudinal direction of a lateral cross-section is aligned with the radial direction. A permanent magnet 22 and a void 23 are disposed in each of a plurality of inter-unit regions α. The voids 23 are positioned on the radially inner side relative to the permanent magnets 22.
