Abstract:
Provided is a rotary observation toy for infants that offers variety. This rotary observation toy for infants is provided with: a drive unit 64 for rotating an ornament 58 disposed at an eccentric position around a prescribed shaft 51; a sound output unit 63 for outputting a melody from a prescribed musical composition; and a control unit 60 for controlling the drive unit 64 and the sound output unit 63. The control unit is configured to be capable of selectively executing a first rotation mode that causes the ornament 58 to rotate in a first rotation manner wherein the ornament 58 continuously rotates at a given rotation speed, and a second rotation mode that causes the ornament 58 to rotate in a second rotation manner different from the first rotation manner.
