Description:
DESCRIPTION

A ROLLER MILL MACHINE FOR CEREALS

Technical Field

This invention is particularly related to a roller mill machine to be used particularly in grinding the cereals and enables measuring the temperatures of the grinding rolls included within thereto.

State of the Art

Cereal (grains) is a general name given to wheat, barley, oat, rye, corn, millet, rice and similar products and the seeds of these products. Today more than 60% of the daily nutrition of people comprises of grains and products made of grains. Most of these foods comprises bread, pasta; biscuit etc. products obtained from mixing the grains which are processed as flours with various substances.

The process of crushing the grains into flour is called grinding. Grinding grains is a process used since very ancient years. The stone mills used in the grain grinding process since ancient ages are still used today. However, too much labor force and time is required for grinding process in stone mills. For this reason, particularly roller mill machines are used in the industry productions wherein grains are used as an intermediate food in flour form.

Today the roller mill machines comprise units which provide grinding the products. In said machines, sensors like bearing temperature sensor, position sensor etc. are used however these sensors cannot be able to enable a sufficient productivity. For this reason, roller mill machines used today require different sensor configurations used for different aims.

The roller mill machines comprise units which provide grinding the products. The temperatures of the grinding rolls included within said units cannot be able to be measured directly in the current systems used today. However, in some applications, point measurements are made with infrared sensors. A more extensive application is to measure the roll bearings indirectly instead of measuring the temperatures of the rolls directly. In said applications, since the measurements are point measurements and they measure the temperatures of the roll bearings indirectly, then it is not possible to show the actual temperature distribution in the rolls. Today, configurations which properly measures the surfaces of the rolls of the units which enable grinding the products and determines the surface temperatures thereof cannot be seen.

In the patent application document no. TR2017/19494 included within the literature, a device and method for producing flour/ semolina is disclosed. The device within the relevant document is particularly characterized by at least one grinder which is designed as a high pressure roll grinder. The grinder has at least one feeder gap and at least one supply gap. The grinding arrangement covers at least one separation level which separates the grinded products into two as finely grinded products and roughly grinded products and a backward directing arrangement which directs at least some part of the roughly grinded product to the feeding gap of the grinder in a backward manner. However, in the device disclosed within said document, there is no configuration which properly measures the roll surfaces of the units which enable grinding the products and determines the temperatures of these surfaces.

As a result, due to the abovementioned disadvantages and insufficiency of the current solutions about the subject matter, an improvement is required to be made in the relevant technical field.

Aim of the Invention

The invention aims to solve the above mentioned disadvantages by means of being inspired from the current conditions.

The main aim of this invention is to measure the temperatures of the grinding rolls.

The inventive roller mill machine comprises units which provide grinding cereals or similar products which are thrown into the roller mill machine. The roller mill machine has thermal cameras which are included within said units and are located in a manner such that they can be able to measure the surfaces of the rolls which enable grinding in a proper manner. By means of said thermal cameras, temperatures formed on the surfaces of the grinding rolls can be measured and signals can be sent to the special designed control unit to which the operator is connected. These signals are converted into temperature data with specific software which is downloaded into the control unit. The surfaces of the grinding rolls are separated into equal regions with the process made and temperature values of each region are allowed to be followed by the operator panel over the control unit.

In the inventive roller mill machine, instead of point measurement, the superficial temperatures of the grinding rolls are measured. Because a superficial measurement is made, the temperature distribution of the grinding rolls can be determined in a clear manner. The measurement sensitivity of the thermal camera used with this method and protecting thereof from the dust is an important aspect. The lens of the thermal camera is cleaned frequently by means of the cleaning unit included within the roller mill machine.

The structural and characteristic features of the present invention will be understood clearly by the following drawings and the detailed description made with reference to these drawings and therefore the evaluation shall be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration.

Detailed Description of the Invention

In this detailed description, preferred embodiments of the inventive roller mill machine (1 ), are described only for clarifying the subject matter. This invention is particularly related to a roller mill machine (1 ) to be used particularly in grinding the cereals and enables measuring the temperatures of the grinding rolls included within thereto.

As it can be seen in Figure 1 , the roller mill machine (1 ) has a body (2) which surrounds all elements. The inlet of the cereal which is ready for processing into the body (2) is made through the inlet chamber (bunker) (3). The grinding unit (4) performs the grinding process of the cereal which is transferred from the inlet chamber (3). In the roller mill machine (1 ), realized working process is controlled and commanded instantly by the operator through the operator panel (5). The automation group (6) enables the required works over the operator panel (5) to be made within a predetermined order. The automation group (6) comprising PLC, electronic cards and such electronic elements.

The roller mill machine (1 ), as it is shown in Figure 2, has thermal cameras (7) which are mounted in a manner such that they can be able to measure the surface temperatures of the grinding rolls included within the grinding unit (4) in a proper manner. Instead of point measurement processes used today, superficial measurement processes are performed by means of the thermal cameras (7). The thermal cameras

(7) transmit the signals which include the measured temperature values to the control unit (8).

The control unit (8) obtains meaningful temperature data by means of combining the data received from the thermal cameras (7) via the firmware therein. The control unit

(8) divides the surfaces of the grinding rolls into equal regions and provides showing the temperature value of each region to the user by means of the operator panel (5). In the roller mill machine (1 ), since the superficial temperature measurements of the grinding rolls are made, the temperature distribution on the grinding roll can be clearly determined. In order to perform said processes, it is required to protect the measurement sensitivity of the thermal cameras (7) and protect thereof from the dust. In this manner the grinding system (1 ), as it is shown in Figure 3, has a cleaning unit (9). The cleaning unit (9) at predetermined intervals makes air blowing process and provides cleaning the lens of the thermal cameras (7) in a frequent manner.
