Abstract:
The present invention relates to a robot configured to set a probability of the presence of a user in each area when traveling to a target user, and to form an efficient travel path on the basis thereof. One embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a robot body having a battery housed therein; wheel units disposed on the lower portion of the robot body and rotationally driven to move the robot body within a home; a sensor unit that is disposed on the robot body and detects a user located outside the robot body; a memory that is disposed in the robot body and stores location probabilities indicating the possibility that each of a plurality of pre-registered users will be located in respective divided areas within the home; and a control unit that is disposed in the robot body and updates the location probabilities depending on whether a user is detected at the current location.
