Abstract:
A robot system (100) includes: a robot (10); a drive unit (12); a first control unit (21) that controls the operation of the robot (10); and a second control unit (22) that controls electric power supplied to the drive unit (12) on the basis of a command from the first control unit (21). Each of the first control unit (21) and the second control unit (22) monitors the operation state of the other, detects an abnormality in the operation of the robot (10), and outputs a stop command for stopping the operation of the drive unit (12) when an operation abnormality, which is an abnormality in at least one of the operation state and the operation of the robot (10), is detected.
