Provided is a resin composition containing a resin B and a colorant A that contains a pigment, wherein the quantity of the colorant A in the total solids content of the resin composition is at least 50 mass%, and the resin B contains a resin b having a repeat unit b1 that contains at least one group selected from between a urea group and a urethane group. Also provided are a film, an optical filter, a solid-state imaging element, and a image display device.
