The present invention provides a refill container which, with a simple configuration, is easily replaced and can be held well by an outer container. The present invention also provides a replacement container.　A refill container (10) comprises: a refill container main body (11) that has a bottom surface part (11a) and a side surface part (11b) which define a storage space (S) for storing contents therein; a flange part (12) that protrudes outward from the side surface part (11b); a vertical circumferential wall part (13) that is vertically suspended from the outer edge of the flange part (12); a refill-side fitting part (14) that protrudes from the inner surface of the vertical circumferential wall part (13); and a plurality of cutout parts (15) that are provided to the vertical circumferential wall part (13), wherein the refill container (10) is attached to an outer container (20) by the refill-side fitting part (14) being fitted with an outer container-side fitting part (23b), and the side surface part (11b) is configured such that a gap (G) which becomes wider from the top surface side toward the bottom surface part (11a) is formed between the side surface part (11b) and the inner surface of the outer container (20). A replacement container (100) comprises this refill container (10) and the outer container (20).
