Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a reception apparatus and method, a transmission apparatus and method, and a program with which it is possible to vibrate a device in a specific area in a reception area. An example is shown in which users wearing a wearable reception apparatus are freely moving about in the reception area. A directional transmission device unit transmits a signal for area designation, the reachable range of the signal being indicated as a beam irradiation area. Only the users present in the beam irradiation area receive the signal for area designation transmitted by the directional transmission device unit. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, a video projection system for vibrating a reception apparatus by transmitting/receiving a directional wireless signal to and from a specific area to which a video is projected.
