Abstract:
This rare earth ferrite particle is represented by formula (1): Ln2xFe2(1-x)O3 (in formula (1), Ln represents a rare earth element selected from the group consisting of lanthanum, praseodymium, neodymium, and yttrium, and x represents a number not less than 0.45 but less than 1.00), and has a 50%-diameter (d50) of 0.50 μm or less in a volume-based cumulative distribution in the particle size distribution.
