Abstract:
Provided is a proximity sensor that can detect the distance between two coils. The proximity sensor is equipped with a reference signal generation circuit unit, a first coil, a second coil, a clock signal generation circuit unit, and a switched capacitor circuit unit. In this proximity sensor, the reference signal generation circuit unit applies a first AC voltage to the first coil and transmits a reference signal synchronized with the first AC voltage to the clock signal generation circuit unit, the second coil, which is magnetically coupled to the first coil, generates a second AC voltage that correlates with the coupling coefficient of the first coil and the second coil, the clock signal generation circuit unit transmits a plurality of clock signals corresponding to the reference signal to the switched capacitor circuit unit, and the switched capacitor circuit unit acquires the second AC voltage at the timing at which each of the plurality of clock signals changes, thereby detecting the distance between the first coil and the second coil.
