Abstract:
The present invention provides a production method by which an arylthiol ester compound can be quickly synthesized at a high yield under mild conditions. The present invention pertains to a production method of an arylthiol ester compound represented by general formula (1) that comprises subjecting a diazonium compound represented by general formula (2) and a thiol ester compound represented by general formula (3) to a Sandmeyer-type coupling reaction with the use of a catalyst to give the arylthiol ester compound [in the formulae: A1 and A2 independently represent an optionally substituted aryl group or an optionally substituted heteroaryl group; X1 represents a monovalent anion; and M1 represents a monovalent cation].
