Abstract:
The present invention suppresses the distortion of an image formed on a tapered object to be printed. A printing system according to the present invention comprises: a printing device that has a rotation support part which rotates a tapered object to be printed in a direction around the center axis, a head which is arranged along a side surface of the object to be printed, has a plurality of nozzles aligned along a generating line direction of the object to be printed, and discharges ink from the nozzles onto the side surface of the object to be printed, and a control unit which forms an image on the object to be printed on the basis of supplied printing data; and a printing data generation device that acquires a rectangular original image, generates, for the acquired original image, a printing image which is horizontally deformed so as to be tapered from the second edge side corresponding to the small diameter side end part of the object to be printed to the first edge side corresponding to the large diameter side end part of the object to be printed, and that supplies the generated printing image to the printing device as printing data.
