Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a printing device and a printing method in which the precision of colors that can be expressed is improved in a printing device and a printing method for transferring a printed image created on a printing original plate by an inkjet method from the printing original plate to a printed article by a printing pad. This printing device comprises: a printing pad having a printing surface which deforms so as to conform to the shape of a surface to be printed on; a printing original plate comprising a placement surface on which ink is placed; a printing original plate stage on which the printing original plate is placed; a printing stage on which a printed article having a surface to be printed on is placed and fixed; and a head that prints an ink image on the printing original plate by an inkjet method. The printing pad is movable between the area above the printing original plate stage and the area above the printing stage and is configured so as to move vertically upward and downward with respect to the printing original plate stage or the printing stage. The head comprises a plurality of reservoir sections for storing each of a plurality of inks including a neutral color ink, and a nozzle for discharging each of the plurality of inks toward the printing original plate.
