Abstract:
The present invention relates to a power-saving type boil-off gas processing system for a ship, wherein in processing boil-off gas generated by natural vaporization of liquefied gas in a ship using liquefied gas as a fuel, the power consumption of a re-liquefying system can be reduced, and to a method for processing boil-off gas of such a liquefied-gas-fuel ship. The power-saving type liquefied-gas-fuel ship according to the present invention comprises: a liquefied gas storage tank for storing liquefied gas; an engine that uses as fuel the liquefied gas stored in the liquefied gas storage tank or the boil-off gas generated by natural vaporization of the liquefied gas; a fuel supply means for supplying the liquefied gas as the fuel of the engine; a compressor for compressing the boil-off gas to a pressure required by the engine; a heat exchanger for cooling the remaining boil-off gas that is not supplied to the engine from the boil-off gas compressed in the compressor; a refrigerant circulation line through which the refrigerant supplied to the heat exchanger circulates; a refrigerant compression unit provided in the refrigerant circulation line to compress the refrigerant discharged after being heat-exchanged in the heat exchanger; and a cold heat recovery device for recovering the cold heat of the liquefied gas supplied as the fuel of the engine and cooling the refrigerant compressed by the refrigerant compression unit.
