Abstract:
In the present invention, a power converter (10) comprises first to third upper and lower arm switches (S1H, S1L, S2H, S2L, S3H, S3L), upper and lower arm rectifying units (S4H, D4H, S4L, D4L), a body composed of a compensation power storage unit (47) and compensation switch (48) that are connected in series, first and second single-phase charging switches (45, 46), and a control unit (70). When it has been determined that a single-phase AC power supply (22) is connected to first and fourth AC terminals (Tac1, (Tac4), and the compensation switch and first and second single-phase charging switches are in the ON state, the control unit performs switching control of the first and second upper and lower arm switches in order to convert AC power inputted from the first and fourth AC terminals to DC power and to output the resulting DC power from high and low potential side DC terminals (TdcH, TdcL), and performs switching control of the third upper and lower arm switches in order to reduce DC power pulsation through charging and discharging of the compensation power storage unit.
