Abstract:
The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material, to a method for preparing same, and to a secondary battery comprising same, wherein the positive electrode active material comprises: a lithium nickel-based transition metal oxide particle containing 96 mol% or more nickel, not containing a manganese element, and having a ratio of titanium (Ti) substituted at the transition metal site in a crystal structure of 400 ppm to less than 1,000 ppm; and a concentration gradient region in which the concentration of aluminum (Al) and cobalt (Co) atoms changes from the surface of the lithium nickel-based transition metal oxide particle toward the center of the particle, wherein, in the concentration gradient region, an absolute value (A) of the gradient of change in the concentration of cobalt atoms and an absolute value (B) of the gradient of change in the concentration of aluminum atoms satisfy A>B.
