Abstract:
Provided are a position adjustment jig and a brake switch position adjustment method capable of easily adjusting the position of a brake switch. This position adjustment jig is for a brake switch attached so as to face an expansion plate that, according to the operation state of the brake, changes position relative to a substrate of a brake of an elevator hoist. The position adjustment jig is used when the position of the brake switch is to be adjusted such that the brake switch is in an attachment position enabling detection of the operation state, and said jig comprises a first portion including a brake-side face and a second portion including a switch-side face that is oriented opposite from the brake-side face and is separated from the brake-side face by the attachment distance. The attachment distance is the distance to the substrate from a housing for the brake switch which supports a contact body that comes into contact with the expansion plate when the brake switch is present in the attachment position.
