Abstract:
An inflatable air/water filled barrier system having: use of drop stitch fabric (403) to maintain the parabolic profile and structure of the unit when under pressure; use of drop stitch fabric to maintain the unit's vertical height as a single unit; use of drop stitch fabric construction configured to contain air or water within the interior of the unit, said unit having a parabolic profiled front, a base, a rear, and two sides with the width being wider than the height to maintain stability; and a plurality of vertical units dividing said barrier into a plurality of adjacent, water-tight units with the parabolic profile facing the threat. The deployment of the barrier system doesn't require the use of special equipment and can be deployed quickly and with minimal manpower.
