Abstract:
Provided are: a polyester film having a base material film and at least one image reception layer disposed on at least one surface of the base material film, wherein the base material film contains a polyester and oxidized titanium particles, the mass-based contained amount of the oxidized titanium particles in the base material film is an amount that satisfies formula 1 when the thickness of the base material film is defined as T μm, the base material film has a surface roughness standard deviation Rq of 0.01-0.12 μm and includes voids having an average area of 0.01-0.10 μm2/void in a cross-section in the thickness direction orthogonal to a surface direction of the base material film, and the image reception layer has, on the outermost surface thereof, a surface roughness standard deviation Rq of 0.01-0.1 μm; and a method for producing the polyester film.
