Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polarizing plate in which dimensional changes are reduced in a high-temperature environment. A polarizing plate that comprises, in this order, a polarizing element having a dichroic dye adsorbed and oriented in a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin layer, an adhesive layer and a transparent protective film, said polarizing plate containing a urea compound, wherein: the content of the urea compound is 0.1 g/m2 to 2.00 g/m2 inclusive; the adhesive layer contains the urea compound; and the urea compound is at least one selected from the group consisting of urea, a urea derivative, thiourea and a thiourea derivative.
