Abstract:
The pneumatic radial tyre for a passenger vehicle according to the present invention is provided with a carcass comprising a ply of radially arranged cords extending toroidally across a pair of bead portions. Said pneumatic radial tyre for a passenger vehicle is characterised in that: the cross-sectional width SW and the outer diameter OD of the tyre satisfy a predetermined relationship; the tyre is provided with a tread portion that includes a tread rubber; the rubber gauge of the tread portion is 2 mm or more but less than 5 mm; a tread surface of the tread portion has one or more land portions; and width sipes extending in the tyre width direction are formed in the land portion(s) such that there are two or more of the width sipes in the ground contact surface.
