Abstract:
A plasma arc additive manufacturing apparatus and method. The apparatus comprises a wire-powder combined plasma composite arc gun body (1). The wire-powder combined plasma composite arc gun body (1) sequentially comprises an inner cavity (2), a water cooling cavity (3), and a protective gas cavity (4) from inside to outside. The inner cavity (2) is provided with a tungsten electrode (5); the water cooling cavity (3) and the protective gas cavity (4) are separated by an interlayer (6); a wire feeding channel (7) and a powder feeding channel (8) are provided in the interlayer (6). In the present application, a wire material (10) is used as a main material, a powder material (11) is used as an auxiliary material, the powder material (11) is used for regulating and controlling the process and organization performance, the forming quality and the forming performance of the plasma arc additive manufacturing are effectively improved, and the designed plasma arc additive manufacturing apparatus combines the wire feeding channel (7) and the powder feeding channel (8) to form an arc gun having a composite structure. The arc gun is compact in structure and convenient to operate.
