Title:
PLANARLY ARRAYED GROUNDING WIRE AND GROUNDING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/157984
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In electrical construction, grounding refers to connecting part of an electrical circuit or electrical equipment to the earth using a conductor. Since the earth maintains approximately the same potential, parts of a circuit connected to the earth by a conductor of low resistance can be assumed to have a uniform potential, and the conductor connecting the electrical equipment to the earth is called a grounding conductor or grounding wire. The grounding wire is used by covering the wire with an insulation sheath in order to ensure safety during processing, and is used underground in the form of a bare wire without the insulation sheath in order to ensure close contact with the earth. The grounding wire is sometimes used as a single wire when the scale is small, but, in general, is frequently used in the form of a stranded wire by twisting several strands of thin wire when the scale is large. Conventional grounding wire installed underground is composed of stranded wire with a single core and thus has the problem that it is difficult to reduce the grounding resistance because the inner surface of the stranded wire cannot come into contact with the earth. Accordingly, a planarly arrayed grounding wire and a grounding method using same are provided, the grounding wire being configured such that thin wires are arrayed planarly to greatly increase the surface area in contact with the earth and lower grounding resistance, and construction costs can be reduced in proportion to the decrease in ground resistance.
