Abstract:
This pigment for a color filter is for forming a coating in a green pixel part of a color filter, the pigment being capable of displaying an xy chromaticity coordinate area bounded by expressions (A) to (D) in a CIE XYZ color system when colorimetry is conducted using a single C light source when the film thickness of the coating is 1.5-2.4 μm and the makeup of the coating is such that 1.25 parts of a resin is contained relative to 1 part of the pigment in terms of mass, the pigment containing a halogenated zinc phthalocyanine pigment that is a compound represented by formula (1), the number of halogen atoms per molecule of the compound being 0.2-10 (inclusive) on average, the number of bromine atoms per molecule of the compound being 0.1-10 (inclusive) on average, and the number of chlorine atoms per molecule of the compound being at least 0.1 and less than 2 on average.
