Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a photocurable antibacterial varnish composition which has excellent antibacterial properties and excellent photocurability under ultraviolet irradiation after application and which provides a coating film that has excellent adhesion, abrasion resistance, and water and abrasion resistance and that is unlikely to curl. As a solution, provided is a photocurable antibacterial varnish composition for paper which substantially does not comprise trimethylolpropane triacrylate and which comprises silver-containing zirconium phosphate particles, 5.0-90.0 mass% of (poly)pentaerythritol(poly)(meth)acrylate relative to the total amount of all photopolymerizable components, and 50.0-90.0 mass% of (meth)acrylate of an alkylene oxide adduct of polyol relative to the total amount of all the photopolymerizable components.
