Abstract:
The present invention relates to a person overboard search and rescue system comprising: a distress rescue request terminal which is worn by a person overboard and is operated in a closed-loop manner; a dedicated receiver for distress rescue request for a ship which is installed on a ship, exclusively receives a distress signal transmitted from the distress rescue request terminal, analyzes the distress signal, indicates the location of the person overboard and the location of the ship on an electronic chart, and provides a movement route for search and rescue on the electronic chart; and a universal receiver for distress rescue request for a coast station which receives the distress signal from the ship or a different ship other than the ship in an open-loop manner.
