Abstract:
The present invention provides a paint selection system for selecting a paint, the system comprising: a storage unit for storing paint antifouling data including correspondence relationships between location information about an assessment water area and the antifouling properties of a plurality of paints; an input unit that accepts the input of location information about a specific water area; a specifying unit that uses the paint antifouling data and the location information about the specific water area to specify a paint to be used in the specific water area; and an output unit that outputs identification information for the specified paint, wherein the paint antifouling data is created by analyzing organisms that have attached to a sample to which a paint has been pre-applied and which is immersed in the assessment water area.
