Abstract:
The present invention relates to an organic salt of terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid, which would be useful in cosmetic compositions for blocking ultraviolet rays, and a preparation method therefor. The present invention provides an organic salt of terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid, which is obtained as a neutralized product having a pH of 5.0 to 9.0 by combining an organic amine compound with a strongly acidic pH 1 aqueous solution of terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid, in an aqueous solution phase or in a powder phase, and thus the present invention allows manufacturing cosmetics without additionally using a neutralizing agent, providing convenience and safety, and has excellent long-term storage stability, enabling consistent prescription, especially in cosmetic formulations.
